Long story short…

My husband Michael and I fell in love with Maria Montessori, and the lesser-known, but just as important, Haim Ginott*. We knew that one day if we were fortunate enough to have a child, we’d use their methods of guiding and communicating. So, here we are… Nearly two years into having a son, and falling in love with him more and more each day. We attribute the way he is to two things: Nature AND nurture. On this website, I’ll share some stories, activities, and anything else that comes to mind that I think would be valuable to anyone interested—especially the moms and dads out there who take the job of raising children seriously, who want to get from it as much as possible, who want to develop real, loving relationships with their children, and who know that while it does take work, the payoff is priceless.

* We highly recommend reading Between Parent and Child by Haim Ginott. It’s probably the most impactful thing we learned, and we practice those methods of communicating each and every day.
